Maxim Shulimovich, DO, is Chief of medical oncology and hematology at The Brooklyn Cancer Center. He is a Brooklyn native and an acclaimed leader and board-certified hematologist-oncologist.

Dr. Shulimovich’s leadership will “bridge the gap” for patients to receive high-quality cancer treatment close to home. His compassion and dedication for patient-centered cancer care are unmatched, evident from his expertise and outstanding work history.

Previously, Dr. Shulimovich was the Chief of Hematology/Oncology at Richmond University Medical Center (RUMC). He was instrumental in developing their advanced cancer care programs, Chairman of the Cancer Committee, and the Hematology/Oncology Fellowship Program Director. Additionally, he is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine at New York Medical College.

Dr. Shulimovich obtained his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his Residency in Internal Medicine at Beth Israel Medical Center and Fellowship in Hematology/Oncology at Maimonides Medical Center.

Dr. Zhu is the Founder and Medical Director of Wellsure Medical Practice, P.C., a primary care clinic providing personalized and comprehensive care to patients in Queens, New York. He is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Obesity Medicine.

Dr. Zhu currently serves as President of the Association of Chinese American Physicians (2024–2026), where he leads initiatives to support professional development, advocate for Chinese American physicians in the United States, and promote community health education throughout New York, including Brooklyn and Queens. He is deeply committed to advancing medical research, education, and community service. He is actively involved in mentoring the next generation of healthcare professionals and provides guidance to individuals pursuing careers in medicine.

Police Officer Eduard Nogol proudly serves the New York City Police Department, dedicating over two decades of service to the safety and well-being of New Yorkers. Officer Nogol joined the NYPD in July 2002 and was assigned to Brooklyn South's 62nd Precinct in July 2004. Throughout his distinguished tenure in the 62nd Precinct, he has protected the community across a broad spectrum of vital roles, including Patrol, the Conditions Unit, Domestic Violence, and Crime Prevention.

Currently serving in Community Affairs, Officer Nogol utilizes his extensive field experience to build strong, trusted partnerships with local residents, business owners, and cultural organizations. His approach to policing centers on accessibility, mutual respect, and collaborative problem-solving. Officer Nogol is deeply humbled to receive this recognition from the United Chinese Association of Brooklyn and remains steadfastly committed to honoring their mission through continued service and community engagement.
