BIOGRAPHY OF
HONOREE,

William Wang

Born and raised in Shanghai, China, Mr. William Wang earned his Bachelor’s degree
from the university in Shanghai. He taught at East China University of Science and Technology as an Associate Professor and also, served as Head Baseball Coach.

In 1987, Mr. Wang came to the U.S. on a full scholarship to pursue his master’s degree, also teaching class and coaching the university baseball team. After graduation, he taught Sports Science and served as Intramural Director, creating a nationally recognized on-campus sports program.

In 1995, he joined New York Downtown Hospital as a Community Health Educator and later became Executive Director of the Chinese Community Partnership for Health Foundation, providing vital health services and health education from to the community to improve the health and wellness in the community. In 2009, Mr. Wang joined Healthfirst as Sales Director of the Asian division, late. He was
promoted to Assistant Vice President for Asian Market. For the past 17 years, he has
dedicated his time and efforts to supporting the community, helping it grows stronger,
healthier, and better through various community events and programs that improve
quality of life.
